Jelight Blak-Ray B-100A 

is a high-intensity 100 W, 365 nm UV-A lamp designed for fluorescence inspection, non-destructive testing, leak detection, and other demanding ultraviolet examination applications. Available with standard 2.44 m (8 ft) cords or extended 6.1 m (20 ft) cords, the B-100A combines intense UV output with a durable aluminum lamp head and transformer base for handheld or hands-free operation.

Applications

Fluorescence Inspection

The intense 365 nm UV-A output is well suited for examining fluorescent materials, tracers, dyes, markings, and other compounds that respond under longwave ultraviolet illumination.

Non-Destructive Testing

The B-100A can be used for fluorescent non-destructive testing applications where concentrated longwave UV illumination is required for visual inspection.

Leak Detection

The high-intensity 365 nm source supports fluorescent leak-detection procedures using compatible UV-responsive dyes and tracers in industrial, mechanical, and maintenance applications.

Laboratory and Industrial UV Inspection

The B-100A provides concentrated UV-A illumination for laboratory inspection, fluorescence observation, quality control, research, and industrial examination applications.

How intense is the UV output?

The B-100A provides approximately 20,000 µW/cm² at 50.8 mm (2 in.) and 5,000 µW/cm² at 254 mm (10 in.). UV intensity decreases as distance from the source increases.

Can the B-100A be used handheld?

Yes. The aluminum lamp head can be removed from the transformer base for handheld inspection. It can also be mounted in the base and rotated through 360° for hands-free positioning.
