uses shortwave 185 nm ultraviolet radiation to photochemically generate a continuous ozone stream for laboratory, analytical, environmental, and materials-testing applications. Designed for 230 V operation, the system features a 203.2 mm (8 in.) lighted length and includes the Jelight PS-4 99-0004-02 power supply.

The SOG-3 provides a controlled ozone source for laboratory testing, evaluation, and development of ozone analyzers, sensors, and related monitoring equipment.
The generator can support atmospheric chemistry, air-pollution research, environmental monitoring studies, and experimental systems requiring a continuous laboratory ozone source.
Controlled ozone exposure can be used to investigate oxidation, degradation, aging, and ozone resistance in polymers, elastomers, coatings, seals, and other materials.
The system can provide ozone for laboratory-scale water-treatment studies, oxidation experiments, reaction testing, and other chemical research requiring photochemically generated ozone.
Its Pen-Ray-based design makes the generator suitable for analytical instrument development, environmental test systems, and custom laboratory apparatus requiring an integrated ozone source.

The generator uses strong 185 nm ultraviolet radiation from a Pen-Ray mercury source to photochemically convert oxygen molecules into ozone as the process gas passes through the illuminated region.
Yes. Photochemical ozone production can vary with factors such as gas composition, flow rate, oxygen concentration, moisture, UV exposure, and the configuration of the downstream gas system.
Ozone-resistant materials should be used throughout the gas path. PTFE and compatible glass components are commonly used because materials that react with ozone can reduce the amount delivered to the experimental or measurement system.
Ozone is a strong oxidizer and can be hazardous when inhaled. The generator should be operated with appropriate ventilation, containment, ozone-compatible materials, gas-flow controls, and ozone monitoring as required by the application and site safety procedures.
The Jelight SOG-3 Stable Ozone Generator is warranted against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and service. Please inspect all protective equipment before each use.
