Jelight Blak-Ray B-100AP

is a high-intensity 100 W, 365 nm UV-A lamp designed for fluorescence inspection, non-destructive testing, leak detection, and other demanding ultraviolet examination applications. Its heat-resistant Cool-Touch plastic lamp head can be used handheld or mounted in the transformer base for adjustable hands-free operation.

Applications

Fluorescence Inspection

The high-intensity 365 nm UV-A output is well suited for examining fluorescent materials, tracers, dyes, markings, and other compounds that respond under longwave ultraviolet illumination.

Non-Destructive Testing

The B-100AP supports fluorescent non-destructive testing applications where concentrated longwave UV illumination is required for visual inspection of components and materials.

Leak Detection

The 365 nm UV-A source can be used with compatible fluorescent dyes and tracers for leak detection in industrial, mechanical, maintenance, and inspection applications.

The B-100AP provides approximately 20,000 µW/cm² at 50.8 mm (2 in.) and 5,000 µW/cm² at 254 mm (10 in.). UV intensity decreases as distance from the lamp increases.

Can the B-100AP be used handheld?

Yes. The lamp head can be removed from the transformer base for handheld inspection. It can also be mounted in the base and rotated through 360° for hands-free positioning.

How long does the B-100AP take to reach full output?

The lamp typically requires approximately five minutes after startup to reach full operating brilliance. If switched off while hot, the lamp may require several minutes to cool before it can restart.
