• Nearly continuous spectral distribution.  Well balanced in the visible spectrum; very close to natural daylight with no significant color shift as result of input power variations.   

• High color rendering index for high quality visual color representation, measurement, and imaging.

• Relatively strong distribution in the infrared region of the spectrum for use as infrared radiation sources.

• Fast ignition and a stable arc for optical measurements and test equipment. Ignites and stabilizes quickly compared to mercury arc lamps which require several minutes to reach stable operation.
