The Ushio UXL-75XE is a 75 watt Xenon Short Arc lamp with 1000 lumens visible light output. Typical lifetime is 400 hours. This lamp has SFa9-2 (anode) and SFa7.5-2 (cathode) basing on the 10mm diameter x 90mm long clear, double-ended bulb. This item is made by Ushio, and is also commonly available from Osram. It is seen as alternative part numbers 69232, XBO75W/2, XBO75W2, XBO-75W/2, UXL75XE, 5000371, Olympus 8-B198, Nikon 78682 and other variations.

We also offer an Osram XBO 75 W/2 OFR equivalent to the Ushio UXL-75XE.

Xenon Short Arc Lamp Product Warning

Xenon Short Arc lamps emit harmful ULTRAVIOLET RADIATION, are under HIGH PRESSURE, require a HIGH VOLTAGE ignition, and can GENERATE OZONE (unless designated "OFR".) These lamps get VERY HOT during operation, and remain hot after operation for a significant time. Avoid direct or reflected exposure as this can cause serious skin burns and eye injury. This lamp should only be operated in properly designed and maintained equipment. Proper protective gear should be worn at any time the lamps are to be handled.

    The lamp is used in a fluorimeter and is recommended by the manufacturer PTI. I use it for more than 20 years.Life hours rated 400 but 2000 is possible.
