Jelight UVL-23

is a compact 4 W, 365 nm blacklight-blue UV lamp designed for currency inspection, document authentication, fraud detection, and fluorescence examination. Available in 115 V and 230 V configurations, the lightweight handheld design provides longwave UV-A illumination for identifying fluorescent security features and UV-responsive materials.

Currency and Banknote Inspection

The UVL-23 provides 365 nm blacklight-blue illumination for examining fluorescent security features incorporated into banknotes and other currency.

Document Authentication

Longwave UV illumination can reveal fluorescent markings and security elements in identification documents, certificates, permits, tickets, and other materials designed for ultraviolet verification.

What does BLB mean?

BLB stands for blacklight-blue. A BLB lamp is designed to provide longwave UV output while reducing much of the visible light produced by the lamp, helping fluorescent security features and UV-responsive materials stand out more clearly.

What safety precautions are required when using the UVL-23?

Longwave 365 nm ultraviolet radiation can present eye and skin exposure hazards. Avoid unnecessary direct exposure and use appropriate UV shielding, protective eyewear, face protection, clothing, and operating procedures for the application.
