Can the UVG-11 be used for germicidal applications?

The UVG-11 emits 254 nm UVC, a wavelength associated with germicidal effects. However, effective microbial reduction depends on UV dose, distance, exposure time, geometry, organism, and other conditions. The UVG-11 should not be treated as a validated sterilization system unless its performance has been verified for the specific application.

What safety precautions are required when using the UVG-11?
