Provide compact, application-specific ultraviolet illumination for laboratory inspection, fluorescence viewing, photochemistry, phosphorescence work, quality control checks and field inspection. This 6-watt handheld UV lamp family includes shortwave 254 nm, midrange 302 nm, longwave 365 nm and dual-wavelength 254/365 nm configurations, allowing users to choose the wavelength best matched to the sample, stain, inspection target or fluorescence response. The ergonomic handle supports comfortable handheld use, while the optional J-129 lamp stand allows hands-free operation when consistent lamp positioning is needed. These lamps are especially useful when a full UV cabinet or transilluminator is unnecessary, but a reliable UV source with known model numbers, replacement tubes and service parts is still required. Select the model by wavelength, voltage and application, then add the appropriate UV protective eyewear and accessories before checkout.
Use these handheld ultraviolet lamps for general fluorescence viewing, spot checks, chemical laboratory inspection and evaluation of materials that respond to UV excitation.
A handheld UV lamp is a practical choice for production teams and QC staff who need quick UV inspection without moving every sample to a dedicated cabinet or benchtop system.
The compact handheld format works well for demonstrations, teaching labs and portable inspection tasks where controlled UV viewing and proper eye protection are used.

Choose 365 nm longwave UV for many fluorescence inspection tasks, 302 nm midrange UV when the application calls for midrange excitation, 254 nm shortwave UV for shortwave fluorescence and germicidal-style UV applications, or a 254/365 nm model when both shortwave and longwave capability are needed.
UVG-54 is the 254 nm shortwave model, UVL-56 is the 365 nm longwave model and UVM-57 is the 302 nm midrange model. Select the model based on the wavelength required by your sample, stain, material or inspection method.
The dual-wavelength 254/365 nm models are designed for applications requiring both shortwave and longwave UV. The UVGL-55 split-tube model uses a wavelength selector for blocking one wavelength area while allowing the other wavelength to be used.
Yes. The optional 98-0016-03 J-129 Lamp Stand is designed for handheld lamp models and allows hands-free positioning for bench inspection, demonstration and repeat viewing tasks.
Yes. UV exposure can injure eyes and skin, especially with shortwave and multi-band UV lamps. Use appropriate UV blocking eyewear and keep the UV beam directed away from users during operation.
Yes. Replacement tubes are available for the 254 nm, 254/365 nm, 365 nm and 302 nm models. Match the replacement tube to the exact lamp model before ordering.
LabgearUSA will support customers with product selection, ordering assistance and manufacturer support coordination. UVP handheld UV lamps and related products have transitioned to Jelight Company Inc. for current product-line support. Warranty handling, repair routing and replacement-part availability should be confirmed at the time of order.
Choose the correct UVP / Jelight handheld UV lamp by wavelength, voltage and intended application. For routine fluorescence inspection, start with the 365 nm UVL-56. For shortwave inspection, choose the 254 nm UVG-54. For midrange UV applications, choose the 302 nm UVM-57. For broader wavelength coverage, select one of the 254/365 nm combination models. Add UV protective eyewear and the J-129 stand when hands-free operation or repeatable bench positioning is needed.
