Jelight (UVP) EL Series 8W Handheld UV Lamps

are rugged, compact ultraviolet handlamps designed for laboratory, inspection, fluorescence, TLC, photochemistry, and general UV illumination applications. The EL Series is available in 4-watt, 6-watt, and 8-watt configurations with longwave 365 nm UV, midrange 302 nm UV, shortwave 254 nm UV, dual-wavelength 2UV models, UV/white-light models, and an 8-watt 3UV model with 365/302/254 nm wavelengths in one lamp.

These lamps use a durable extruded-metal housing with a scratch-resistant powder-coated finish. They are lightweight enough for handheld use and may also be used with compatible stands or viewing cabinets for hands-free operation.

What wavelengths are available in the EL Series UV lamp line?

The EL Series is available in 254 nm shortwave UV, 302 nm midrange UV, 365 nm longwave UV, white-light combinations, 2UV dual-wavelength models, and one 8-watt 3UV model with 365/302/254 nm UV.

What is the difference between UV/white, twin UV, 2UV, and 3UV models?

UV/white models include one UV tube and one white-light tube. Twin UV models use two tubes of the same UV wavelength. 2UV models include two different UV wavelengths in one lamp. The UVLMS-38 3UV model includes 365 nm, 302 nm, and 254 nm UV in one 8-watt lamp.

Can EL Series lamps be used hands-free?

Yes. EL Series lamps can be used with the J-138 lamp stand for hands-free positioning. 

Which model should I choose for general fluorescence inspection?

For many fluorescence inspection applications, a 365 nm longwave model is a common starting point. Choose 302 nm or 254 nm models only when your method, stain, sample, or inspection procedure specifically requires those wavelengths.

Are replacement tubes available?

Yes. Replacement tubes are available for 254 nm, 302 nm, 365 nm, Half-Coat, and white-light versions.

Do I need UV safety eyewear?

Yes. UV-blocking eyewear or face protection should be used whenever operating UV equipment, especially with shortwave and midrange UV sources. Protect exposed skin and keep unprotected personnel away from active UV sources.
