Product Description

Jelight 90-0069-10 Zinc Pen-Ray UV Lamp

is a compact spectral light source with a prominent 214 nm energy peak for UV absorption measurements, analytical instrumentation, air-pollution monitoring, wavelength calibration, and spectroscopy. The lamp features 203 mm (8 in.) stripped radial leads and is specified for a 400 mV photodetector signal level, distinguishing it from the otherwise similar 351 mV 90-0069-05 configuration. The 90-0069-10 is designed for use with the Jelight PS-9 power supply.

Applications

UV Absorption and Detection

The 90-0069-10 provides a prominent zinc emission near 214 nm for UV absorption cells, detectors, and measurement systems requiring a defined shortwave UV spectral source.

Air-Pollution Monitoring

The stable zinc spectrum makes the 90-0069-10 suitable for air-pollution monitoring and environmental instrumentation that use a defined ultraviolet source for optical measurement.

Wavelength Calibration and Spectroscopy

The characteristic zinc spectrum provides a defined optical reference near 214 nm for wavelength calibration, spectroscopy, optical testing, and instrument development.

OEM and Analytical Instrument Integration

The 90-0069-10 uses 203 mm (8 in.) stripped radial leads and is specified for a 400 mV photodetector signal level. Customers replacing lamps in calibrated or OEM equipment should match the part number and detector-response specification required by the original instrument.

Features

  • Prominent 214 nm zinc energy peak supports UV absorption, spectroscopy, and analytical measurements.
  • Specified for a 400 mV photodetector signal level.
  • Thermally isolated vacuum-envelope construction supports stable optical operation.
  • Compact 20 mm (0.79 in.) lighted region supports integration into analytical and OEM equipment.
  • 203 mm (8 in.) stripped radial leads accommodate equipment designed for side-entry electrical connections.
  • Can serve as an alternative to a deuterium lamp in selected applications requiring a strong, stable source near 214 nm.

FAQs

What does the 400 mV specification mean?

The 400 mV specification refers to the photodetector output or signal level associated with the lamp. It does not refer to the lamp's electrical operating voltage. Customers using the lamp in calibrated or OEM equipment should select the detector-response specification required by the instrument.

What are radial leads?

Radial leads exit around the side or perimeter of the lamp base rather than directly through its end. The 90-0069-10 is supplied with 203 mm (8 in.) stripped radial leads for integration into compatible equipment.

Does the 90-0069-10 have strong 185 nm emission for ozone production?

No, the 90-0069-10 does not having strong 185 nm emission for ozone-production applications.
