formerly designated as legacy model 11SC-1, is a low-pressure mercury light source providing primary 254 nm output with strong 185 nm emission across a 53.8 mm (2.12 in.) lighted length. Its compact double-bore quartz construction and phenolic handle support integration into photochemical systems, analytical instruments, calibration equipment, ozone-generation systems, and OEM devices. The lamp uses a standard Pen-Ray connector and is designed for use with the Jelight PS-1 power supply.
The 90-0012-01 provides concentrated shortwave mercury emission for UV-driven chemical reactions, photochemical research, and laboratory systems requiring a compact 254 nm source.
The stable mercury spectrum and compact lamp geometry make the 90-0012-01 suitable for analytical instruments and detector systems requiring a defined UV source.
Characteristic mercury emission lines provide useful optical references for wavelength calibration, spectroscopy, detector evaluation, and laboratory optical measurements.
In addition to its primary 254 nm output, the 90-0012-01 provides strong 185 nm emission capable of generating ozone in oxygen-containing environments. This makes the lamp suitable for compatible ozone-generation, ozone-monitoring, and related research systems.

The primary difference is the handle material. The 90-0012-01 uses a phenolic handle, while the 90-0003-01 uses an aluminum handle. Their published UV output, dimensions, cord length, connector, minimum 254 nm intensity, and recommended power supply are otherwise the same.
Avoid direct exposure of the eyes and skin to ultraviolet radiation. Use appropriate UV-blocking eyewear, shielding, protective clothing, and ventilation suitable for the installation, particularly when 185 nm emission may generate ozone.
The Jelight 90-0012-01 Mercury Pen-Ray UV Lamp is warranted against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and service. Please inspect all protective equipment before each use.
