The Ushio line of T8 Germicidal lamps are low pressure mercury arc lamps that emit radiation peaking at 253.7nm (UV-C). Made in Japan using high quality materials in combination with a tightly controlled manufacturing process to provide excellent performance and reliability.  Building lamps free of impurities maintains a strong and stable output throughout the life of the lamp.
