The Sankyo Denki G8T5E is a UVB linear lamp which emits ultraviolet rays between 280nm and 360nm (peak at 305nm-315nm), typically specified as 305nm, 306nm, 310nm, or 312nm.
The spectral energy distribution is ideal for testing the ultraviolet resistance of paints, plastics and rubbers. These lamps are commonly used as UVB light sources for fluorescence inspection and analysis, typically in equipment such as UV transilluminators, UV imaging systems and leak detection.
This lamp is designed to operate with standard 8 watt fluorescent lamp ballasts and G5 bipin sockets.
